Description

This was the last image taken with the Askar300 since the clouds rolled in at the end of October. I had to re-image the stars twice as the first set  suffered from severe pinched optics at -15C. I had to put an additional dew heater at the back end of the scope over top the focuser to heat up the rear element. This seemed to work and minimized the effect of the pinched optics. The Cosmic Question Mark comprised of NGC 7822 and SH2-170 is a bright target which is visible all year round for 54 degrees north. To me the entire nebulae complex of NGC7822 looks like a primate skull. Two big eyes looking to the left? maybe I have been looking at he image for too long and started seeing things that are not there. Went with a "natural" colour compbination with the narrowband data. I see a lot of Hubble palate with this target so I thought of something different with this version. Hopefully some clear skies soon, going on nearly 4 months without a star.

CS to all
Dan.
